Digital Detox

Digital Detox, I like the sound of that.  I had to laugh when I saw this video, it reminded me of Hippie communes of the 70s. I also heartily agree with the idea of unplugging for a week. At Camp Grounded you don't talk about work or problems. You check in every piece of technology before you can enter the grounds.  And with everyone on a level playing ground you learn fun things and celebrate who you are as a person and find your inner child. This camp for adults is located in California.

You can tell when you watch the video that these people really benefit from the experience but my question is do you need to go to a camp to take a week off? Probably not, however it does seem that part of the personal growth comes from the interaction with other people so perhaps Camp Grounded is  just the ticket.

Or if you can't fly to California the good new is there are lots of places in Maine with lodges and camping that are far from the reach of technology still.  My personal favorite is Nicatous Lodge where I was lucky enough to spend several days and it was awesome.
