On this date in 1965, Roger Daltry sang the immortal rock n' roll line "Hope I die before I get old."  Fortunately for Roger, he hasn't.

The Who recorded My Generation at Pye studios in London.  You'll notice that Roger stuttered some of the lyrics., which he did so that they would fit into the music.  London's BBC initially didn't air the song because it didn't want to offend people who stutter. Eventually over time everyone was offended about everything, so now anything can be aired.
