The song took three weeks of recording ten to twelve hours a day, and one hundred and eighty different overdubs, but  it was worth it.  It became so well known that Wayne and Garth knew it word for word.

It was on this date in 1975 that Queen began recording Bohemian Rhapsody at a studio in Wales, England.   It was written by the late Freddie Mercury, and at the time was the most expensive single record ever produced.  By the way, Queen is the I-95 Artist/Band Of The Day!

Just a "good old boy."  It was on  this date that country outlaw Waylon Jennings was busted for carrying cocaine in Nashville.  In later years, Jennings would go on to say, "I did more drugs than anybody you ever saw in your life."  Now what the hell would Uncle Jesse say?

In 1983, Shawn Michelle Stevens, the fifth wife of rock  and roll pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis, was found dead of a methadone overdose at the couple's home in Mississippi. The two had only been married three months. Jerry Lee, who admittedly has "Great Balls Of Fire", would marry a 22 year old in 1984, and then divorce her twenty years later.
If you remember, Lewis, known throughout rock and roll as "The Killer",  infamously married his 13 year old cousin when he was only 22.
