Here's what those no good long-haired rockers were up to today!  Which reminds me: "When? When boy? Are you going to get your act together? Like the g******n Finkelstein s**t kid?

Yeah, she is one hot woman!  Born on this date in 1961, Julie E. "Tawny" Kitaen, the actress/model that appeared in all those Whitesnake videos.  When "Here I Go Again" come out, Tawny and Whitesnake lead singer David Coverdale were just getting to know each other.  The two would marry in 1989, and then divorce in 1991.  Meanwhile, for any red blooded American boy, the memories of those videos continue on.

Aerosmith began saving for their Ferraris and extravagant spreads on this date in 1972 when record mogul Clive Davis signed them to a contract with CBS Records.  He had just seen the band play at Max's Kansas City Club New York, and  got them for a steal at $125,000. Clive lit up another cigar and Aerosmith went to work on their self-titled first album, which included the hit Dream On.

One of the greatest female rock bands of all time got its start on this date in 1975!  The band from Los Angeles formed when guitarist Joan Jett and drummer Sandy West met producer Kim Fowley.   Cherrie Currie, Lita Ford and Jackie Fox would follow and the band quickly turned into one bad ass group!  They officially broke up in 1979, and Joan Jett would become of member of the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2015!

In 1978 the Rolling Stones would hit #1 with Miss You.  Was it disco or rock?  Do you care?  Not me.  I'm still watching the Whitesnake video.

Another great rock band was signed for the first time on this date, in 1979.  The British band Def Leppard signed for $180,000.  Hits were composed and hair spray was purchased.  The band would go on to sell over 100 million albums worldwide.

David Crosby's legal woes pretty much began on this date in 1982, when he was sentenced to nine months in a federal prison in Texas for drug and gun possession. Later in 1985 Crosby was arrested yet again, for driving his car into a fence and being found with drugs and a gun.  Then, in 2004, David left a gun, ammunition and of course drugs in his hotel room, and spent even more time in jail. For the past eleven years, Crosby has learned to keep his gun, ammunition, and drugs, in a safety deposit box in the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.
