The Beatles recorded their fist album in hours, an amorous black Labrador retriever was the inspiration for a song, Vince was thrown out of the f**kin' band, and Whitney died in the bathtub.

It took less than ten hours for what would be the world's greatest band to record all the songs for their first album.

On this day in 1963, the Beatles kicked out classics like I Want To Hold Your Hand and I Saw Her Standing There. They also recorded Twist And Shout which would be their next single and it took only one take for John Lennon to ace the song!

The Monkees were the most popular act on the planet on this day in 1969, when their album More Of The Monkees went from #122 to #1 on the album chart.  Admit it, you had the album.

Wow, what a triple bill!  It was this night that Fleetwood Mac, The Allman Brothers and The Grateful Dead played FIllmore East.  A lot of the Allman's Live At Fillmore East album was recorded on this night.

Led Zeppelin had a hit with Black Dog on this day in 1972.  The bad titled the song after a black Labrador retriever that had been wandering around the studios while recording music for their fourth album.  Sometime in 1972 while on stage Robert Plant talked further about the dog, "Let me tell you 'bout this poor old dog because he was a retriever in his early days, and the only thing he could ever find in his late days was his old lady who lived two houses away from where we were recording. And he used to go see the old lady quite regularly, but after he'd "boogied" and everything else he couldn't get back. And we used to carry him back."  He was a good boy.  By the way, Led Zeppelin are the I-95 Band Of The Day!

It was on this day in 1992 that Motley Crue fired their f**kiin' lead singer.  Vince Neil's ass was kicked out of the f**kin' band because his first love was now racing cars, and the f**k had been missing the f**kin' band's practices.  He would later rejoin the group in 1997 when f**kin' s**t didn't work out for no one.

It was this day in 2008 that divorce proceedings began for Heather Mills and Sir Paul McCartney.  In the end, Mills walked away with $48.6 million.  That's a lot of love to take.
