Tommy Lee knocked someone out with one punch, Geezer got into a bar fight, Sly scored $5 million, two rockers died, and Rumours by Fleetwood Mac hit #1.

Meanwhile, it was this day in 1968 that the "Lizard King", otherwise known as Jim Morrison, was arrested for being drunk in public while at The Pussy Cat A-Go-Go, an adult night club in  Vegas.  Seems that while Morrison was watching the art happening onstage, he had been harassing a security guard by pretending to smoke a joint.  The not so impressed guard beat Morrison with a billy club and dragged him outside the theater to the cops waiting outside. No Go-Go girls were harmed in any way.

It was this day in 1978, that the second Fleetwood Mac album featuring Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks went to #1 on the album chart.  Rumours would go on to sell over 20 million copies, and become the eighth best selling album of all time. Rumours was recorded in 1976 and released in February of 1977, and featured such great classics like Dreams, Go Your Own Way and Don't Stop! Fleetwood Mac are the I-95 Band Of The Day!

It was on this night in 1984 directly following a Motley Crue concert in Buffalo that Tommy Lee was made aware that his girlfriend has posed nude for Penthouse magazine.  The unfortunate man that decided to make Lee aware was knocked out unconscious by the drummer with one punch. The ,manager of the and talked town crier out of pressing charges.

We lost Jim Capaldi, the English drummer who became famous while with Traffic, on this day in 2005.  Besides working with Steve Winwood in Traffic, he also recorded with Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and George Harrison. He also had a very successful solo career.  Capaldi died of stomach cancer, he was 60.

We lost another rocker on this day in 2009 when Lynyrd Skynyrd keyboardist Billy Powell passed away of a heart attack in Florida.  Powell had missed a doctor's appointment the day before where his heart would have been checked.  BIlly Powell was a roadie for Lynyrd Skynyrd for two years before officially joining the band in 1972.  He survived the 1977 plane crash that killed three members of the band and the band's manager. Powell was 56.

Up until 2015, funk master Sly Stone, who became very famous in the late sixties with his band Sly & The Family Stone, had been broke and living in a van.  It was on this day in 2015 that a judge awarded him $5 million in back royalties, more than enough cash to buy a new van, down by the river.

Old Geezer Butler was arrested on this day in 2015 at the Corkscrew Saloon in California when a fight broke out in the bar.  The bass player for Black Sabbath was happy to jump right into the middle of the melee that happened after midnight. He was arrest for misdemeanor assault, public intoxication and vandalism.  Geezer still kicks ass.

And former Playboy Playmate Barbi Benton turns 66 years old today.  Barbi graced the cover of Playboy numerous times and even shacked up with Hugh Hefner in the mansion for quite awhile.  Her appearances on Hee Haw were legendary!
