The Beatles shot four promotional films for the song Hello Goodbye on this date in 1967 at the Saville Theatre in London.  One had them wearing their Sgt. Pepper's attire, and the others, well, they should have saved the film.

On this date in 1973 Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John hit #1 on the Billboard Album Chart, and it would stay there for eight weeks.  I bought this album while attending Husson College at the old Record Mart in the Airport Mall.  When I got back to the dorm I found the record to be warped, so I jumped into the Chevette and back to the store I went.  On the way back to the store I broadsided a 1977 4-door Chevy Impala, and broke my nose on the windshield.  So, my crooked nose is a result of a warped copy of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.  I hate that album.  Even so, Elton John is the I-95 Artist of the Day!

The Eagles hit #1 on this date in 1979 with the song Heartache Tonight.  It was the band's fifth and final #1 song.  If they had listened to Rodney King and had tried to get along who knows what more they would have produced while they were at the top of their game.  But no, Don Felder was an a***ole.

She may be defined as a country artist, but the girl rocks, and she literally touched me at one of her Bangor appearances, so of course I have to mention her.  Miranda Lambert turns 32 today.
