Don't believe what they say.  Big girls really do cry.  I've seen them.

It was on this date in 1962 that Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons hit #1 with Big Girls Don't Cry.  The song would stay at that position for five weeks, inspiring all big girls to send their boyfriends packing.

Told my girl we had to break up
(Silly boy) Hoped that she would call my bluff
(Silly boy) When she said to my surprise
"Big girls don't cry"

In 1979, Jethro Tull bass player John Glascock died at the young age of 28 due to a congenital heart defect. The following song contains some of his best work.

If you're a freak like David Crosby, maybe you shouldn't be operating a motorcycle.  It was on this day in 1990 that Crosby, one quarter of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, one third of Crosby, Still and Nash,  and founding member of The Byrds, crashed his Harley on a winding section of road in the Encino Hills outside of Los Angeles.  Crosby broke his left leg, ankle and shoulder in the accident. He told cops that he was cruising along at 25mph when his throttle became stuck, he missed a curve and the bike slid out from under him.  He wasn't wearing a helmet, of course.

This date in 2003, Britney Spears who was then 21 years old, became the youngest singer to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  No, I-95 does not play Britney's music, but we do take advantage of every opportunity to post a smokin' hot picture of her.

On this date in 1938 Canadian singer Gordon Lightfoot was born.  Gordon had big songs like If You Could Read My Mind and the #1 single SundownDale Duff from our sports station here in the building LOVES ol' Gordy, and the song below.  We won't hold it against him, at least today, tomorrow we kick his ass.
