Had enough of hearing fireworks being shot off while you're trying to fall asleep?  Or, maybe you're tired of hearing people bitch about all of your backyard fun.  Either way Ellsworth officials want to hear from you!

This Monday night between 6:30 and 8, the Ellsworth City Council will hold a workshop on fireworks.

Currently, fireworks can be set off year round anywhere within Ellsworth between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. The current law also says that fireworks can only be set off on a landowner's personal property, may not be used inside a building and cannot be used on nights when the fire danger is high.

City officials have spent the past two months researching fireworks and going over their interactions with residents.  A three page memo of their findings will be presented to city councils members this Monday night.

So if you're tired of the family pets cowering in the corner, or if you enjoy lighting up the sky, the city wants to hear your thoughts during the workshop this Monday night!
