One of the more popular morning destinations in Ellsworth has closed it's doors temporarily for remodeling.  Dunkin Donuts on State Street in Ellsworth, next to the Mill Mall, will remain closed for another 9 days, until Wednesday September 18th at 5am.

Dunkin Donut lovers will have to make their way to the Ellsworth Wal Mart for their favorite caffeinated beverage, breakfast sandwich or doughnut.  Wal Mart opens at 6am.

Bangor businessman Lou Lima owns the State Street Dunkin Donuts.  This past May he submitted a plan to build a new Dunkin Donuts on the corner of Kingsland Crossing and Bar Harbor Road in Ellsworth.  The new site is appealing due to the amount of traffic in the area and because the former Lowe's building will eventually house a branch of the Jackson Laboratory.
