Ellsworth Rotary Club’s Annual Auction Happens May 13th

How about a great deal on a Classic 1962 MG Midget, or a baseball from the Boston Red Sox autographed by Jackie Bradley, Jr?  Well Friday the 13th may be your lucky day, because that's when the Ellsworth Rotary Club's annual auction will take place! 

This year the 65th annual auction will take place at Big Cat’s Catering & Events Center in Trenton between 5:30 and 7 p.m.  And, the Rotary has selected The Grand its auction partner.

Other items provided by local area businesses and individuals that will be up for bid include:  Two VIP tickets to see Miranda Lambert perform at the Bangor Waterfront,  a Sugarloaf golf package, a South African photo safari for two, an orthodonture package, many arts and crafts items from local artisans, and gift certificates to local restaurants and stores.  Plus, stuff is still arriving for the auction everyday!

In a recent press release, Gail Thompson who is the Executive Director at The Grand, said, “We are thrilled to be partnering with the Ellsworth Rotary Club in this fundraising event. Our Board members, staff, and I have been working closely with the club to make this a fun evening for everyone with musical entertainment by Ella Capella, great food by Big Cat’s and loads of terrific items to bid on.”

This will be a live auction, but there will be items up for bid in a silent auction also.

Tickets to the event are $10 per person and available at Bangor Savings Bank, The Ellsworth American, Downeast Family YMCA, and Maine Coast Memorial Hospital or online at: grandonline.org. Tickets are also available at the door.
