The Ellsworth Free Medical Clinic will continue thanks to a couple of big donations and two new people coming on board to guide the way!

The Clinic had been due to close because of lack of funds.  The Ellsworth Free Medical Clinic is open three days a week at 248 State Street in Ellsworth, it serves about 2,500 people per year, mostly who are either under insured or not insured at all.

Now, thanks to a last minute donation of $10,000 and a $25,000 grant from the Maine Community Foundation, the clinic will continue.  Also, two new doctors have come on board, they are Rita Seger and Marlyn Nash.  Not only will they begin seeing patients but they will also be on the board of directors, Seger will be president while Nash will be vice-president.

The two doctors will join two other physicians already on staff.  Volunteers are needed!  To volunteer or to schedule a medical appointment you can call 667-7953.
