Now that Terry Collins is out as manager of the New York Mets will Ellsworth native and bench coach Dick Scott get an interview for the job?

Scott has been Mets bench coach for the past two years under Collins. He had been the Mets Director of Player Development before joining Collins in the dugout.

Scott signed with the Yankees in 1981 after graduating from Ellsworth High School. He was drafted in the 17th round. Scott played pro ball for 10 seasons and then managed in the minors for several years, winning Manager of the Year honors three times.

Bob Geren, Chip Hale and Kevin Long are among the possible candidates with Mets ties.
