The American Red Cross has put out an "emergency" need for blood donations in our area.  There is no good time of the year for a blood shortage, but it does hit especially hard in the dead of winter.  So please help someone out by donating the gift of life.

All blood types are needed, but apparently the stock of O, AB, and both A and B negative are in very short supply.

You can schedule an appointment to donate by going to redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800-733-2767, and then show up at one of these blood donation events.  Too lazy to schedule?  I imagine they wouldn't turn away anyone who just walks in.
