Did you know that the Emmaus Shelter in downtown Ellsworth has a "Clothing Closet" for those that need help?

That's right, for those who cannot afford a warm winter coat, boots, hat and gloves, the Emmaus Shelter's Clothing Closet is a place for people to go to select what they need.

The Clothing Closet is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and now Saturdays between 10AM and 2PM.  It features gently worn clothing at no cost for all family members, including infants, children, women and men.  No one is turned away, so if you know of someone  in need please send them to the shelter for help!

Part of the Clothing Closet is the Prom Closet, where school kids can select dresses, tuxedos, shoes, even necklaces and ties!  Don't leave that prom dress hanging in the closet!  Donate it so that someone less fortunate can enjoy their prom!

DONATIONS ARE NEEDED!  VOLUNTEERS TOO!

Drop off your donations to both the Clothing and Prom Closet anytime!!  Please call Dawn Coffin at the Emmaus Shelter for information at 667-3962.

The Emmaus Shelter, at the corner of Water and Main,  has been helping those less fortunate in our area for many years.  Help them help others by making a donation or by volunteering your time!
