If you missed the 2013 edition of Eric Clapton's star-studded Crossroads Guitar Festival or want to relive the musical extravaganza, here's some exciting news.  A two-and-a-half-hour film featuring highlights from the two-day event will be screened for one night only at hundreds of theaters around the U.S. on August 13. Massachusetts is as close as it will come to us.

The fest was held on April 12 and 13 at New York City's Madison Square Garden and featured headlining sets by Clapton and The Allman Brothers Band, as well as performances by B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Los Lobos, Booker T. Jones, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Jimmy Vaughan and Taj Mahal, among many others.  If that's not enough, The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards made a surprise appearance at the festival's second night.

Good new is, Clapton also recently announced that a DVD of the 2013 Crossroads Guitar Festival is being prepared for release.  The fest, which has taken place every three years since 2004, raises money for the Crossroads Center rehab facility the guitar legend established on the island of Antigua.
