Penobscot County Soil & Water Conservation District has partnered up with the Maine Forest & Logging Museum to hold a conservation field day. Kids ages 6-12 will get to learn about our Maine forests, wildlife, soils, and aquatic life in our ponds, lakes, and streams. The youngsters will get to learn in an indoor and outdoor setting while doing hands on activities. Our presenters will be Dan Kusnierz a Water Quality Specialist with Penobscot Indian Nation, Ben Naumann a fish biologist with NRCS, Nick Butler from the NRCS Soil Science Division, and District Forester Terri Coolong.
