John Mellencamp, the pride of Indiana rock and roll is celebrating his 63rd birthday today!

I was fortunate enough to see Mellencamp perform in Portland back in 1985 when his album "Rain On The Scarecrow" was released. I remember the crowd going wild as the band tore into "Small Town" and Mellencamp bounded across the stage with endless energy!  It was pretty cool!

While growing up I worked on a dairy farm in Connecticut, so I've always had a big time appreciation for the American farmer.  "Rain On The Scarecrow" really hits home with me!

So let's celebrate his birthday along with him  and with some of our favorite Mellencamp songs!

Here's ours, what are yours?  Let me know and I may play your song today during "A Whole Lotta Lunch!"
