Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that don’t make the grade! Over the weekend grabbed my binary code for dummies and headed to the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see ‘Blackhat’

This movie runs just over 2 hours is a action, crime, dramar and is rated R for violence and some language. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Viola Davis, Tang Wei, Wang Leehom, William Mapother

Summary:

A Hong Kong nuclear disaster appears to be caused by a computer hacker for unknown reasons. When other hacks start showing up on CIA and Chinese Government join forces to find who is responsible. To aid their search they are convinced to release a cyber-criminal (Chris Hemsworth) serving 13 years in prison to assist them. The story is a global chase hunting a high-level network from Chicago to Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Jakarta.

Review:

You know when I write the summary this movie sound like it has potential and I do like both Hemsworth and Davis but potential does not the good movie make. This film has such a weak plot and underdeveloped characters it is startling. The entire plot goes from weak to worse because it is completely unbelievable and…well dumb. Add to that, all their action scenes shifted to a hand-held camera style incorporating shaking that was just unnecessary and annoying. On a scale of 1-10, I’m giving ‘Blackhat’ a 4.

Show me everything playing right now at the Bangor Mall Cinemas
