Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that suck! Today Ma and slipped on our skates and headed into the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see Disney’s new animated film ‘Frozen’.
This movie runs a little under 2 hours and is rated PG for some action and mild rude humor This new Disney installment stars the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, Santino Fontana.
Summary: This is the story of a magical kingdom where the King and Queen have 2 daughters, Anna and Elsa who is born with a gift/curse of making cold and snow magically. The girls are very close until an magical accident almost kills Anna. After that Elsa locks herself away to protect her family. Although lonely this plan seems to work until Elsa must take the thrown and her magic is revealed and goes out of control. She flees into the mountains and unknowingly sends her kingdom into an eternal winter causing Anna to go after her to save them all.
Review: Not since Snow White have I been so taken by a Disney film. Frozen has all the best Disney elements. Humor, contemporary music that doesn’t get too stupid or hip. Plenty of action. Characters that are relatable and endearing. A few tears and a Disney ending. Perfect. On a scale of 1-10 I’d give Frozen a 10. This is a terrific family film for you to all see together.
