Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that don’t make the grade! Last night I grabbed some mistletoe and headed into the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see 'Love The Coopers'

This is a holiday comedy, and I am adding drama that runs an hour and 45 minutes. It is rated Rating: PG-13 for thematic elements, language and some sexuality and stars John Goodman, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried, Alan Arkin, Olivia Wilde

Summary:

This Holiday films follows the joy and expectation the Coopers and their annual Christmas eve get together for the family. Trouble is as everyone puts pressure on themselves to make Christmas perfect the truth is everyone is walking in carrying the stress of their daily life now coupled with the stress of seeming happy. To add to the ruse they stir in a few unexpected guests and the stage is set for a Christmas to remember or maybe try to forget.

Review:

To start this movie has such a great cast you know if the script is anything at all it should be pretty good. Like all Holiday films with family dysfunction and the pressure to show up and be happy ‘Love The Coopers’ is right on par with ‘Home Alone’ just on a more adult scale. To give credit where credit is due there were a few cleaver new facets added to your typical Holiday movie characters and situations that freshened it up a bit. No real belly laughs for me in this one but I did have a smile on my face for most of it and I teared up a few times All in all I enjoyed the story and on a scale of 1-10 I am giving ‘Love The Coopers’ an 8.

Show me everything playing right now at the Bangor Mall Cinemas
