Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that don’t make the grade! Over the weekend hopped onto me Segway and headed to the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see ‘Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2’. This is an Action Comedy running just a little over an hour and a half and is rated PG for some violence.  The movie stars Kevin James, Raini Rodriguez, Eduardo Verástegui, Daniella Alonso, Neal McDonough

Summary:

This film picks up six years after the first installment with Paul Blart’s fantasy marriage from the first movie lasting only six weeks and his mother gone leaving him  wondering if his life has peaked and he has nothing to look forward to. Undaunted he heads off to a Las Vegas security guard convention with his daughter who is struggling to tell him she wants to go away to school because he seems so needy. However, fate steps n at the hotel with a chance for Blart to prove himself again.

Review:

This movie is just what you’d expect. Keven James puts in a respectable performance. The script is really more about being ridiculous than believable asking you to roll with many circumstances that are  a little farfetched and some totally inane in the name of the plot.  Add to that, most of the funniest parts were in the trailer which upon review I see implies a completely different story. That said, I laughed a few times and it wasn’t awful but didn’t really transcend O.K. As I was leaving another theater goer said the first one was better.  Thankfully I’ll just have to take his word for it. So on a scale of 1-10, I’m giving ‘Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2’ a mediocre 6.

Show me everything playing right now at the Bangor Mall Cinemas
