Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from  spending your hard earned money on movies that suck! Today I grabbed mom and hit the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see Red 2 .

This movie runs approximately 116 min is rated PG-13 and comeS under the heading of  Action | Comedy | Crime. Red 2 rejoins the cast of stars Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich and Mary Louise Parker plus add into the mix Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Rough plot goes like this:

Retired C.I.A. agent Frank Moses is attempting to live a  peaceful life when a internet leak of a covert op "Nightshade" against the Russians puts Frank and his girlfriend directly in the thick of it.  Including being threatened by a high-tech assassin, former black-ops agent Frank Moses reassembles his old team in a last ditch effort to survive and uncover his assailants and get down to what is really happeing The plot also thickens when Victoria (Helen Mirren) calls and tells them she has accepted a contract from MI6 to kill Frank.

My review:

Funny really, because even though this is a sequel RED the story is completely different.  A lot more twists and turns and the relationship between Frank and Sarah adds a new element of danger and concern. The other characters are also quiet fluid and the plot has a  few nice twists in it. The movie does plod in a few places but not for long.  I think over all the script was good but the acting and chemistry of these actor is great! Making Red 2 a funny warm and exciting movie experience.

On a scale of 1-10 I'd give Red 2 an 8
