Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that don’t make the grade! Over the weekend jumped in the chopper and headed into the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see ‘San Andreas’.

This is an action, drama, thriller movie that runs slightly under 2 hours. The film is rated PG-13 for intense disaster action and mayhem throughout, and brief strong language and stars Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, Archie Panjabi, Hugo Johnstone-Burt, Paul Giamatti.

Summary:

Caught in the throws of the shifting San Andreas fault San Francisco California becomes the epicenter of what will ultimately become a global event. With his family visiting the city Ray Gaines, a professional chopper pilot and rescuer for the LA fire department, goes head long into the fray to save his family while scientists try to get out the warning and everyone else tries to hold on and survive.

Review:

If you are up for a ride this movie is for you.  I like Dwayne Johnson and this film suits him to a T. I saw it in 3D and although it was fine I am confident the 2D experience would be much the same. Story was well crafted and though sometimes a little easy on the availability of resources. The cast worked well together and although the sequences are intense the actual blood and bodies is kept to a minimum. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and in an action movie what more do you want. So on a scale of 1-10, I’m giving ‘San Andreas’ an 8.

Show me everything playing right now at the Bangor Mall Cinemas
