Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that don’t make the grade! Last night I grabbed a light saber and headed into the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.

This is an action adventure, fantasy that runs just over 2 hours. This movie is rated PG- 13 for sci-fi action violence stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson

Summary:

Three decades after the Han Solo, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker lead a successful campaign to defeat of the Galactic Empire, a new threat has risen. The First Order attempts to rule the galaxy and a new resistance rises as well to try and stop them. The key to their plan is finding Luke Skywalker to renew the Jedi order and lead the assault by the Resistance.

Review:

One of the most enjoyable things about the premiere last night I confess was the enthusiasm of the audience. This group cheered and applauded when the movie started and then again when it was done. For die-hard Star Wars fan the anticipation of seeing their favorite story continued is enough reason to go a least once. As for me I love the saga and I think JJ Abrams did it proud with this installment plenty of action, humor and odes to the originals. As for the actors Harrison Ford did a respectable job while there was something a little disconnected in Carrie Fisher’s performance, still no harm done. As for new characters their stories were left very vague for the most part laying way, I am sure, for the next movie. The effects were as good as anyone could ask for and in 3D it had a few wow moments. So on a scale of 1-10 in a Star Wars universe Episode IV: a Hew Hope being a 10 and ‘Episode II: Attack of the Clones’ being a 6, I am giving ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ an 8.

Show me everything playing right now at the Bangor Mall Cinemas
