This movie runs just under two hours and is considered an action , biography, drama  and is rated PG-13 for some images of war violence and historical smoking. The Monuments Men is directed by and stars George Clooney, it also stars Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman and Cate Blanchette

Summary:

During Hitler's  most devastating reign of terror during the early stages of WWII he had his army steal every masterpiece they could lay hands on and hide them so upon victory he could create a Fuhrer Museum. Upon learning this a group of artists, curators and art aficionados banded together with the army's  help to recapture these art treasures and return them to their rightful owners.  They called themselves The Monuments Men and this film is based on their true story.

Review:

In general I avoid war movies because our own inhumanity to each other to me is generally disturbing, so needless to say I didn't walk in with high hopes.  However, The Monuments  Men although a story of war it is also a story of esteem and bravery that human achievements and history would not be locked away or discarded.  Clooney and his cast did an admirable job with their characters and the success of this less than militant group was successful because of passion and love.  Amazing story very well told On a scale of 1-10 I am giving ‘The Monument Men' a 10
