Tomorrow is the Fourth of July and needless to say many of us will be huddled in our backyards thanking some over heated grill master for another hot dog. So how many will be downed...here is the answer and other fun facts.

According to NHDSC Americans will consume 150 million hot dogs on the 4th. That's enough to stretch from Washington DC to Los Angeles five times if you laid them end to end.

Wallet Hub says last year we spent 83 million dollars on watermelon.

They also give Americans credit for buying 36 million dollars worth of corn on the cob.

And how about a whopping 318 million for potato chips.

Your local towns will also average $5-30 thousand dollars to light up the skies with fireworks on the 4th.

Approximately 23 million cases of beer will be sold for the day.

Which is most likely the reason the 4th is the most dangerous day to be on the roads.  So be careful and take an Alka-Seltzer .
