Will there be a better day then this Sunday to take Papa on a cook-out at one of Maine's beautiful State Parks? NO!

This Sunday, June 18th, is Free Maine Resident's Day at Maine State Parks and Historic Sites!

Any vehicle with a Maine license plate and its occupants will be admitted free for "day-use" of the parks and sites beginning at 9AM!

The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry are opening the Parks this Sunday to encourage people to take advantage of these beautiful areas, most with picnic areas, playgrounds, beaches and other very nice attractions!

Every State Park in Maine, and there's a whole bunch, will participate.  For a full listing of Parks go HERE!

Free admission does not apply to Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park or the Penobscot Narrows Observatory, among others.  Although, Maine residents will be admitted free to Fort Knox State Historic Site in Prospect.
