Friday is ‘Take Your Dog to Work Day’

Take Your Kids To Work Day is overrated anyway.

Yes, Friday June 26th is the 17 annual 'Take Your Dog to Work Day.' The holiday was first celebrated in 1999. It was created by Pet Sitters International to celebrate the great companions dogs make, and promote their adoptions.

According to the PSI website the event 'encourages employers to experience the joys of pets in the workplace for one day to support their local pet community.'

In its first year, about 300 business around the country celebrated. Now the event has spread to thousands of employers. More info can be found at petsit.com.
