Glen Frey, one of the founding members of the Eagles turns 66 today!

Born in Detroit, Frey's first recording experience was in 1968 when he played acoustic guitar and sang back up on the Bob Seger song, "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man!"

He would later move to California where he would meet Don Henley and other members of the soon to be Eagles when they were part of singer Linda Ronstadt's back up band.  The Eagles, one of the world's best selling bands would form shortly thereafter.

Glen Frey also had a big solo career in the 1980s with great songs like "The Heat Is On" from the movie Beverly Hills Cop. His songs  "You Belong To The City" and "Smuggler's Blues" were used in the TV show Miami Vice which he would guest star on.

Let's celebrate his birthday with some of our favorite Eagles and Glen Frey songs!
