A Glenburn man faces numerous charges after crashing his truck into a Bangor business Wednesday while stalking a woman, according to police.

Ricky Whitney, 39, faces charges including domestic violence stalking, domestic violence reckless conduct, aggravated criminal mischief, driving to endanger of leaving the scene of an accident.

The arrest came after Bangor Police officers were called to investigate a hit-and-run crash that occurred at Exchange and Washington Streets in Bangor. Police say Whitney drove away from that crash scene immediately while the female operator of the other vehicle went directly to the Bangor Police Department to report it.

A short time later, police say Whitney drove the truck into the building located at 137 State Street, and then fled the scene on foot.

Whitney was apprehended by Bangor Police Officers a short time later on the railroad tracks that run along the bank of the Penobscot River. He is being held at the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor.
