Going For The Long Haul

Seems there are two kinds of people in the world.  The ones who trade their cars every 4 years and the ones who will drive a car until it ain'ts gots no more.  The latter being me.  My neighbor asked me just the other day how long I was going to keep my car for anyway to which I answered until it stops going. And if you like me want to own a vehicle that you can drive into the ground -- and then wonder why it refuses to die -- turns out we may want to consider driving a big truck or SUV.

ISeeCars.com went looking for listings of vehicles with at least 200,000 miles on the odometer. They analyzed 30 million listings from 1981 to 2010 and the top five vehicles for longevity are:

1. Ford F-250 Super Duty
2. Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
3. Chevrolet Suburban
4. Toyota 4Runner
5. Ford Expedition

That seen I still think for the gas mileage I'm still shooting for a Corolla as my next car.
