Homeworkers Organized for More Employment, or H.O.M.E. is hosting its annual auction this weekend in Orland. Organizers are looking for product and service donations for this event that benefits H.O.M.E's shelter program.

The auction is a wonderful opportunity for you or your business to support your local area homeless shelters and food bank programs. Whether we like it or not, cold weather is on the way, so these programs could use some help keeping Maine's homeless safe and warm.

Great prizes are up for grabs! Like watercolors of Maine Lighthouses by Deer Isle artist Frederica Marshall, vacation packages, Bangor Symphony Tickets, wedding dresses, tools, lots of gift certificates from area businesses, and more!

H.O.M.E's Giant Benefit Auction will be held at their facility at 90 Schoolhouse Road in Orland on Sunday, August 18th from Noon til 4pm, or whenever they're done! Along with the auction, enjoy their famous barbecue, homemade onion rings, and french fries, along with homemade lemonade. Yum!

For more information on H.O.M.E. and to look at some of the items up for bid, check out the organization's website. If you'd like to make a donation, contact H.O.M.E. at 469-7961.
