Every week we will feature a new hometown and share photos and facts using hashtags on social media. This week our #hashtag hometown is Glenburn!

It was originally called Dutton after a Bangor Judge and founder of the Bangor Theological Seminary, Samuel Dutton. It was changed to Glenburn, meaning a stream in a small valley, in 1837.

The town is separated in to Glenburn and West Glenburn by the Kenduskeag Stream. The town's big attraction, other than being a great town to raise a family, is Pushaw Lake. Pushaw is home to many year-round and seasonal homes and is very popular in the summer.

Other places worth seeing in Glenburn are the adorable old schoolhouses, the Abbott House on Pushaw Rd., the historic cemeteries, and farms.
