We are fortunate in the Bangor area to have many highly rated schools in which to educate our children.

The website, GreatSchools.org, ranks schools in Maine and throughout the nation based on standardized test data. Of course, test results don't necessarily give a complete picture of any particular school, but it does give a snapshot of how students at one school perform on those tests compared to students at another school.

With that in mind, here are the five (actually six because we have a tie) highest-rated elementary schools in the Bangor area (within a 10-mile radius), according to GreatSchools.org.
