Here’s The Maine House That I’d Buy If I Won The Powerball Jackpot

I've always wanted to have a big house somewhere Downeast.  A place where family and friends can come visit and spend the night.  A place that could pretty much be self sufficient during a power outage in the dead of winter.  And, a place big enough where I could have a few animals, like horses, dogs and maybe even a goat.

So, if I win the $1.5 billion, I'm buying this house in Surry.  I've always loved the Newbury Neck Road, with the beautiful beach there that not many people take advantage of, and the views over Union River Bay of MDI.

This place built in 2008 is listed for $1,950,00 by agent Mary Purslow and The Swan Agency Sotheby's International Realty, and is 4,500 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, plenty of room for everyone who happens to come by.  It has a three car garage, perfect for stashing my soon to be purchased Shelby Mustang, and any other high powered thing that I could drive my rich butt around in.

One thing I absolutely love is the central fireplace!  One can just imagine having family and friends over for the night and enjoying a warm fire.  That along with another wood stove would make for a very warm winter, especially in the event of an extended power outage. But, who cares?  I'll be at my second house somewhere in the Caribbean, right?

The kitchen, the master suite, the waterfront access and the huge outside deck all make this property very appealing to me.  Then, there's the five acre lot that it sits on, some of it fenced in already, perfect for a couple of horses!  One can also imagine sitting on the outside patio while steaks are cooking on the girl, enjoying the breeze from the bay!

It's really cool to browse through sites like MaineListings.com and dream.  But hey who knows, I may have the winning ticket in my wallet right now, and if I do, this may be the place for me!
