We LOVE Acadia National Park!  We love it even more at half-price!

Saturday, November 11th, will be a big day in Bar Harbor, with the annual Early Bird Pajama Sale and Bed Races going on!  Make the trip to town and take advantage of some great sales and a whole lot of fun!

It's also the ONLY day in November when you can buy an annual Acadia National Park pass for $25.  The pass usually sells for $50.  The Park pass will be on sale between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the booth on the Bar Harbor Village Green.  They'll accept cash, check or credit card.

If you cannot make it to Bar Harbor on November 11th, worry not, the Park pass will be on sale again at half-price during the entire month of December at various locations, including the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce, at the corner of Cottage and Main Streets.  Of course, these make great Christmas presents!

During December, they're usually also available at the  Park Headquarters Visitor Center, which is located on Eagle Lake Road (State Route 233) about 3 miles from  downtown Bar Harbor.  Also at the Southwest Harbor/Tremont Chamber of Commerce, the Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park, and the town offices of Mount Desert, Tremont, Gouldsboro, and Winter Harbor.

Your $25 will benefit the National Park Service and the Island Explorer Bus Service!

Remember, the National Park Service has recently talked about increasing the cost of an annual park pass to $75, but that hasn't happened yet.  But it may be a good idea to take advantage of the half-price special on November 11th and during the month of December before any increase goes into effect.
