With the recent government shutdown holding things up, there still may be time to score more one of more than 100 summer jobs within one of the best places on the planet!

From maintaining the trails to lifeguard positions, it just can't be a bad thing to work within Acadia National Park during the summer.  Here's are the best places to start when looking for a job there.

The National Park Service has a starting point for you located on their website titled " Work With Us", and that site refers those interested to USAJOBS.com.  Best results are obtained by typing "Mount Desert Island" into the "Location" field.

Friends of Acadia will list both paid and unpaid employment opportunities within the Park and with the group itself.  Something there may catch your eye. Currently, there are listings for a Wild Gardens of Acadia Intern, a Digital Media Team member, and a Administrative Assistant with the Friends of Acadia.

Another site to check out is CoolWorks.com, search for Acadia National Park Jobs. There you'll find positions available at the Jordan Pond House and the Acadia Shops of Bar Harbor.
