Spectrum, the area's cable provider is due to stop broadcasting standard definition signals today, Tuesday, September 18th.  So what does that mean for you?

Well, if you're a subscriber, then every television that you have hitched up to Spectrum's cable system with have to utilize a digital cable box, or you'll lose the signal.

Most folks already have a digital cable box/receiver attached to their home's primary television. Although, when it comes to TVs in bedrooms, cellars, man caves and garages, that may be a different story, a coaxial cable may be all that's attached.  If that's the case, then you've probably lost your channels today.

The bottom line: Every TV in your home must now have a digital receiver and the place to get one is Spectrum.  You can call them at 1-844-278-3408 or stop by their local office here in Bangor at 444 Perry Road.
