Brewer Police weren't looking for drugs when they arrived at the motel room but, instead, were there to arrest a man who was wanted on outstanding warrants. But it turned out to be a large drug bust.

Police went to the Vacationland Inn around 11:30 Friday morning after learning that Darren Seidell, 33, was staying there. He had a warrant out for his arrest for failure to appear and domestic violence. Fox Bangor reports, when police arrived, Seidell tried to flee but was quickly apprehended.

A search of the room turned up 53 grams of heroin and more than $8,000 in cash. Seidell and April Umbal, who was also staying in the room, are charged with aggravated trafficking. The charge was elevated to 'aggravated' due to the amount of drugs seized and because the couple was allegedly selling them near Brewer High School.
