Matt Pike of the heavy metal band High on Fire isn't an Aerosmith fan and he's not afraid to declare his comprehensive hatred for the classic rockers. In an interview with A.V. Club, Pike says he calls the "off" button on his stereo the "Aerosmith button" and refers to them as the "crappiest, most overrated s**t band of all time."

During a A.V. Club feature called HateSong, the music site asks artists for one song they hate the most. For Pike it's 'Dude (Looks Like a Lady),' but really his feelings extend to everything else Steven Tyler and company have set their hands on over the last 40 years.

"The guy sounds like a goat," he said. "'Baaa, baaa, dude looks…' It just gets under my skin." Other words used during his 500-word rant include barf, chokehold, fork to a plate, scratching a chalkboard, "hot, heaping pile of dog s**t" and "polished turd."

"Actually, that’s what they are. They’re a polished turd. You dress them up in clothes, but they’re still a piece of s**t. They walk around smelling really bad, sounding really bad, and making millions of dollars. "

The AVC interviewer only encourages Pike's rant. Perhaps the most insulting barbs are thrown at Aerosmith's fans. "The simpletons of society have just eaten it up and made them as big as they are. They’re just encouraging them to make bad music over and over again."

Aerosmith released their latest album 'Music From Another Dimension!' in November 2012. High on Fire's most recent album, 'De Vermis Mysteriis,' was hailed as one of last year's Top Metal Albums by our friends at Loudwire.
