How Far Can You Drive With The Low Fuel Light On?

So exactly how far can you go with the "Low Fuel" light on?  It varies by vehicle, and by how you drive!  But we may have your answer right here.

There are those like us who start getting fidgety when the gas gauge gets down to a quarter tank, and then there are those that have absolutely no problem driving around with the low fuel light on.

When that particular "idiot light" comes on, and yes that's probably what your mechanic calls it, it may mean you have just a few more miles left, or, it may mean you have almost one hundred miles left!  For instance, our Corolla still has two gallons of gas left when the light comes on, and that means we can go up to 84 miles, if we're cruising right along.
