Did you answer pretty well? That may not be totally true since recent reports say that most of us never check our credit scores.  And you wonder why identity theft is on the rise? And if you have a computer you have even less of an excuse because it's free.

If you haven’t checked your credit score lately you may want to. A new study by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) finds that 20% of consumers have errors on their credit report. Errors that are big enough to affect your score.  They suggest going to annualcreditreport.com to check for errors.

Again, the report is free.  If you do find an error the FTC  has a step by step process that may help on their website.

though it's no laughing matter, it has become so common they have made a movie about it. Just make sure the last laugh isn't on you:)
