When asked why his songs could stand the test of time tonight's featured artist  said part of it is positive lyrics and that he writes fairly simple songs that are fun to sing.  Any guess who he might be?

The purveyor of self-proclaimed simple tunes is Steve Miller.  In an interview promoting the Steve Miller Band Live In Chicago DVD, he gave the reasons he thought his songs have stood the test of time: "They're fairly simple tunes. There's a lot of harmony singing, and then when you go through the lyrics they have meaning to people. But I think the main thing is that they're positive lyrics that people like to sing."
