Tonight’s featured artists had a hit song inspired be the movie ‘The Devil and Daniel Webster’ A happy sounding little tune that actually sings of the apocalypse.  Any guess as to the tune or artists?

Well the man who penned the tune was John Fogerty in his Creedence Clearwater Revival days and the song is the well known and often mis-sung 'Bad Moon Rising'. He is quoted in an issue of Rolling Stone that the lyrics were inspired by a movie called 'The Devil And Daniel Webster', in which a hurricane wipes out most of a town. This is where he got the idea for the words "I feel the hurricane blowin', I hope you're quite prepared to die." Overall, he said the song is about the "apocalypse that was going to be visited upon us." Although now a days thanks to the likes of An American Werewolf In London (1981) and Twilight Zone: The Movie (1982) we think of it as a transformation into a werewolf song, at least I do.

Wanna see the werewolf? Aaaoooooo!
