Tonight’s mystery artist told the Rolling Stone he is too sensitive to live in New York City. Can you guess who he might be??

If you are guessing our own rock star farm boy John Mellencamp you are right in one. When asked why he didn’t move in with hen girlfriend Meg Ryan he said: "I'm too sensitive to live there," he says. "I can't see poor people. I can't see the suffering. I can't see the trash on the streets." There's also the big-city paparazzi, who trail the couple. "I don't give a f**k about me, but I don't like it for [Ryan]," he says. "I'm not leaving Indiana. I'm going to die here."
An not a bad place to live or die, Mellencamp owns a lakefront mansion on a 65 acre wooded estate. Also, when he is not writing Rolling Stone reports that he, spends much of his time in a large, bright room over a barn, painting. Mellencamp is quoted: "I get up at 8:00, I have breakfast, I go to the art studio, and I don't come out until dark."

He shows his art too and told one gallery curator in an interview that he liked art because you can take it back and keep keep improving it until you are really satisfied. He went on to say every time he hears tonight's featured song 'Pink Houses' He wished he'd taken more time on the final verse. Sounds fine to me:)

Here you go live from another of his great loves:

This is a very insightful look into John's character:
