Notably one of the most popular groups in the world our unassuming hero is Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits whose ‘Brother In Arms’ sold more than 30 million copies when first introduced thanks to the monster hit ‘Money For Nothing’ According to Mark in the “Seven Ages of Rock” interview; their influence on kids around the world was just his little part in the chain. I still marvel that he actually said out loud, not that it was any good.

Tonight’s featured song from their appearance at the very first ‘Live Aid’ Money For Nothing’ with Sting. Kind of funny they were playing Wimbly Stadium and walked across the parking lot to the benefit concert to play.
