I-95 Drive Home Mystery Artist [VIDEO]

Tonight’s mystery artist when asked what first broke up the band the members claimed life changes, attitudes and not taking adequate breaks, sounds like the Beatles but this quote came from a band that had ruled the 80’s.  Any guesses??

It was in a Rolling Stone interview back in 2011 after assuring the public for years there would never be a Cars reunion Ric Ocasek was promoting the reuninting of the band and was asked what had caused them to originally break up after a decade of success in 1987.

His answer: “Life changes, the band attitude and not having a break for all those years — that was all part of it. It became a big dark thing. I noticed it on the Door to Door tour. It was the first tour we did that wasn't fun. Some people took buses, some people took planes. Nobody talked. I was like, "This has to stop. We'll stop in this spot. And I'm not going to back to this again." I held out for 23 years.”
