Tonight’s mystery artist had his first hit at the tender age of 17 and he says it was like having every Christmas and birthday all at once. Think you know who our lucky boy might be??

Our artist was getting ready to back to high school when the band the 'Hurd' asked him to front for the band. After clearing it with his dad Peter Frampton obliged. During that time Peter had become good friends with then Davie Jones and soon to be David Bowie who had been in his father’s art class. Peter recalled the first time Bowie saw him on TV and said to his band mate “Hey isn’t that Pete? Shouldn’t he be in school?”

Wikipedia goes on to tell of Peter Frampton moving on to 'Humble Pie' while still hiring out as a session artist for the likes of Harry Nielson, Jerry Lee Lewis and George Harrison who introduced him to the Talkbox. I think you know the rest from there.
