Tonight’s mystery artist had a hit song of a cover tune the Western Writers of America named as one of the top 100 Western songs of all time. Think you know what it is or who you’ll hear sing it here??

The song was written and recorded to great success by Bob Dylan for the movie Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid in 1973 and ‘Knocking on Heavens Door’ made it all the way to #12 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Described in Dylan’s biography as “an exercise in splendid simplicity” 'Knocking on Heaven’s Door’ has been covered over and over by the likes of U2, Warren Zevon, The Grateful Dead, Eric Clapton along with many other including our feature band tonight who struck gold with their version of the song, soon to be on tour, Guns and Roses.

Here is Bob, he wrote it so it seems only fair.
